Africa Eco Adventures Ltd offers balloon flights in Kenya’s famous Masai Mara National Reserve. The Mara is the northernmost part of the spectacular Serengeti-Mara ecosystem, home to the “Great Migration” and scores of other wildlife, including lions, cheetahs, elephants, rhinos, hippos, and crocodiles.
We are an exciting company whose owners have over 50 years of collective experience flying balloons and hosting safari guests in the Mara, as well as other parts of East Africa. Our flights team is managed by director of operations, retired Captain Andrew Peart, who has over 25years flying experience. Our Chief pilot is Captain Riz Jiwa, born & raised in Kenya with immense wildlife guiding background both in Amboseli & Masai Mara game reserves. In his own words – “I’m a safari guide that flies”. Captain David Nguruga, caps it up with wealth of experience having started his internship in the Mara.
Our fleet of 6 balloons consist of three Cameron 415’s balloons with a capacity of 16 passengers each, one 12- Seater, one 8-Seater and a small 4-Seater balloon (ideal for couples, photography, honeymooners or special occasions, subject to availability.)
We are committed conservationists and continually strive to minimize our impact on the ecosystem. From choosing the colors of our balloons, lowering the noise from the burners, and training each member of our staff, we are doing all that we can to safeguard this beautiful and important game reserve for our future generations.
We have a very strong relationship with the local Maasai community, and often invite our neighbors to come and fly with us. Almost all our staff are from the Masai community to further improve the lively-hoods of our neighbors.
We are Tourism Partner of the Kenya Wildlife Trust, and a portion of every flight fee goes directly to worthy conservation projects in the Mara area.
Gliding silently over the savannah, is 360 degrees of spectacular beauty!
